Amantadine Molecule
Amantadine is an anti viral drug which is also used in Parkinson;s Disease. It has the chemical formula C10H17N and has a molecular mass of 151.249 g/mol . As an anti viral drug Amantadine interferes with a viral protein, M2 (an ion channel), which is needed for the viral particle to become "uncoated" once it is taken inside the cell by endocytosis.
